Nowadays a familiar sight in cities, these kick scooters are subject to potentially dangerous situations. Due to their higher speeds and them moving close to parking lanes, “dooring” is often a major cause for serious injuries. The 4activeEK is designed for potential future Euro NCAP scenarios.
To take action against rising numbers in accidents, we did not hesitate to start developing an active safety dummy for this specific field. Thanks to our many years of experience in the field of radar characteristics, radar detection and implementation, we have produced the only scooter target on the market with “Micro-Doppler” properties.
This target stands out with its robust design, light weight, perfect radar properties and the ingenious crash concept; which makes it crash-able but still very durable, even at higher speeds. Night tests can be achieved easily with a heated version of our 4activeEK dummy. In addition, we offer this dummy in a variety sizes as well as colors.This dummy is also compatible with all our VRU platforms like the FB-small, FB-eco, SB oder XB, while still being compatible with all globally certified test systems (without the “Micro-Doppler” function).
