The 4activeFBlarge X_GEN is the next-generation robotic platform for Car-to-Car (C2C) and Car-to-Motorcycle (C2M) ADAS testing – engineered from the ground up for maximum speed, efficiency, and reliability on modern proving grounds. With speeds up to 130 km/h, 4activeFBlarge X_GEN has the world’s highest power-to-weight ratio in its class and assures superior driving dynamics. An acceleration distance of just 67 meters is sufficient to perform an 80 km/h test, enabling significantly more tests within limited track space. Combined with longitudinal and lateral accelerations of up to 5 m/s², the system sets a new industry benchmark for high-performance ADAS validation. This capability is complemented by a drive-over capable design for 40-ton trucks as standard – without additional hardware, added weight, or performance compromise – a concept already trusted by leading truck manufacturers. The drive-over capacity is up to 5,000 kg per wheel (axle load of 10,000 kg/axle).
A hot-swap battery system allows the battery to be replaced in under two minutes without removing the target, enabling practically uninterrupted testing throughout the day. The modular design, consisting of four lightweight segments, can be assembled quickly without special tools using a simple quick-release mechanism, providing maximum flexibility in the field. With an overall height of just 95 mm and full IP67 protection, the system ensures reliable operation even under demanding outdoor conditions such as rain, dust, and extreme environments. The extreme low profile 95 mm thickness and the smooth ramp-design also ensure safe testing, even when ADAS systems do not react and the platform is overrun with high relative speeds by the VUT without damages on your test vehicles.
