Indoor Positioning System
The indoor positioning system is a great alternative to perform indoor tests, when there is no GPS signal available.
This system establishes an indoor coordinate system. With signals going toward the permanently installed satellites/beacons, you can ultimately calculate the position of the object.
The setup and installation of each of the positioning-satellites (beacons) is straightforward. When doing the initial start up, you must calibrate and localize the beacons. The object itself sends a continuous signal to the beacons closest to it. You can imagine this technology like the regular GPS (Global Positioning System) – only indoors. Thanks to this technology, indoor testing can be done in the most precise way.
