Simultaneously to our PA-adult, we have engineered the child pedestrian target with moving legs, to avoid accidents ending with a drivers’ worst nightmare: a child suddenly crossing the road ahead of him. We have laid the groundwork for the ISO, UNECE and worldwide NCAP standards in this field, and our research has been used as a foundation for later test protocols. Like its grown-up companion, the PA-child is compatible and controllable with all our VRU platforms like the FB-small, FB-eco, the SB or even the XB, while still being compatible with all globally certified test systems. In addition, the PA-child is also available as a heated version. A simple control unit and easy handling equals that of the PA-adult, as it is vital to us to produce customer-friendly components, that safeguard fast and quick implementation.

Created jointly with more than 18 project members from leading companies within the two-year ACEA/CLEPA Project.
This makes it the only fully validated articulated pedestrian target with extremely realistic, sensor‑relevant properties – directly confirmed by the industry.
