Based on the vision and Roadmap for 2030: “A safer future for mobility,” 4activeSystems has developed a new vehicle type dummy for testing procedures. The 4activeC2-SUV soft crash target combines the benefits of current official ENCAP C2 car targets with a new structure to challenge the newest and most developed vehicle sensors and features to keep passengers and road users safe. The radar and visual properties of this target are the result of years of development with leading key players in the industry, with a build-up time of only 2 minutes to reduce standstill time on test tracks. Additionally, 4activeSystems is working on additional light kits that include headlights, taillights, and indicators to make the target even more realistic.
