The MUSE consortium is working to improve motorcyclist safety by studying the main collision scenarios and possible countermeasures, and developing tools to improve and evaluate these systems
Nowadays, Euro NCAP protocols asses Advance Driver Assistance Systems that are able to detect other road users as cars, pedestrians or bicyclists; but they don’t consider Powered Two Wheelers (PTW). UTAC CERAN has initiated the MUSE consortium “Motorbike Users Safety Enhancement”, in which around 15 industry partners including several OEM’s and TIER1s have joined forces.
